Overview
Behind a lane off Via del Governo Vecchio, inside the 16th-century Palazzo Boncompagni dei Duchi di Sora, there is a room that most of Rome does not know exists. Vincenzo Saitta, Merchant Navy Officer turned art collector and co-founder of the Wisdomless Club, built this space with his brother Francesco not as a hospitality concept but as an extension of their personal obsessions: maritime history, classical art, the Grand Tour, and the belief that beauty should be accumulated rather than designed. This evening, the innermost room is yours. A cigar sommelier guides you through the Toscano, Italy's oldest cigar tradition, alongside a curated rum pairing, regional charcuterie, and cocktails drawn from a bar list inspired by the great voyages of the 19th century. Four hours. One room. The particular slowness of smoke and conversation.

The Experience
The evening begins with an arrival the club has perfected: a hostess meets you at the entrance, the space opens behind her, and the first impression is of a gentleman's library that has been collecting beautiful objects for a very long time. Trunks, antlers, a ship's figurehead above the bar, oblò from a Russian ship's galley, sporting ephemera, Ch...
Why Guests Love It
“Rome gave us a lot of beautiful evenings. This was the only one that felt as if it had been kept aside specifically for us.” — Omar S., Dubai
Meet the Expert
Vincenzo Simone Saitta
Vincenzo Simone Saitta is a Merchant Navy Officer, collector, and co-founder of Wisdomless Club, one of Rome's most private and admired spaces. Housed in the 16th-century Palazzo Boncompagni dei Duchi di Sora, the Club was built by Vincenzo and his brother Francesco not as a business but as a salon: a projection of their collecting obsessions, their love of maritime history, classical Christian art, and the culture of the Grand Tour. Vincenzo has sailed the world's oceans professionally and spent decades gathering the objects that now fill the club's rooms: navigational instruments, antique sporting ephemera, oblò from a Russian ship's galley, taxidermy, travel trunks, each with a provenance he can account for. The Toscano cigar belongs to that same world: an Italian tradition with roots in the culture of slow attention that Vincenzo built the Wisdomless Club to protect. This evening is his salon, opened for your group alone.
