Between Matter and Gesture: Create your Sculpture with Artist Giulio Cinti, in Rome
Overview
Matter & Presence: Sculpture and the Shared Act
No previous artistic experience is required for this unique experience, it is an initiation into sculpture as an authentic, physical, and shared act. Within an intimate atelier setting, you will enter a suspended moment where time slows, and matter awaits its first gesture.
This is a personal invitation to work side by side with sculptor Giulio Cinti and participate directly in the birth of your very own sculpture, leaving a permanent and unrepeatable imprint within the material. More than a class, a visit, or a performance, it is the dialogue between artist and guest, body and clay, intention and accident, culminating in a work that will later take its definitive form in bronze or marble.

Meet the Expert
- Giulio Cinti
Giulio Cinti is a sculptor and architect whose research is rooted in the essentiality of gesture and the primordial power of form. His is the sculptural work for the façade oof the Church of San io X in Balduina, Rome and Canopo, the monumental fountain for the Italian Pavillion at Expo Osaka 2025.
His practice focuses on tension, fragility, and collapse thus favoring immediate, unmeditated outcomes in which matte becomes a direct trace of action.
Presented in both national and international contexts, Giulio Cinti’s work arises from intense, almost ritual processes that value the truth of gesture over aesthetic indulgence. Today, his vision opens sculpture to the dimension of encounter a shared act in which the viewer becomes a co-author and an active part of the work’s journey through the world.
